Board Director Interest
Nueces Electric Cooperative welcomes and encourages qualified members who are interested in serving their fellow members through Board service to explore the opportunity to become a candidate for the Board of Directors.
Eligible members interested in seeking election to the Board should contact the Cooperative office at 361.387.2581 to schedule an appointment with a Cooperative representative. During this appointment, prospective candidates will receive a petition packet along with detailed information regarding the nomination process, eligibility requirements, and Board responsibilities.
Before beginning the process, interested members are strongly encouraged to carefully review all eligibility requirements. Candidates must meet all qualifications for Board service and must be a bona fide resident of the district they wish to represent. Residency requirements are established in Article IV, Section 2, of the Cooperative's Bylaws, and each applicant is responsible for ensuring full compliance with these provisions.
Interested members will be required to affirm that they meet all eligibility criteria, including district residency requirements, and that all information submitted is accurate, complete, and truthful. To help ensure eligibility and avoid delays or potential disqualification during the review process, prospective candidates are strongly encouraged to review the Cooperative's Interactive District Map and Article IV, Section 2, of the Bylaws.

Cooperatives provide education and training for their members, elected representatives, managers and employees so they can contribute effectively to the development of their cooperatives.
6. Cooperation Among Cooperatives
Cooperatives serve their members most effectively and strengthen the cooperative movement by working together through local, national, regional and international structures.
7. Concern for Community
While focusing on member needs, cooperatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies accepted by their members.

Interested persons must be residential members of Nueces Electric Cooperative who reside in District 1, 2, or 4.
Residential members can pick up an application packet from our Headquarters Office at 14353 Cooperative Ave. in Robstown.
