Electric Bill FAQs
- You can pay your electric bill online through SmartHub.
- You can also pay in person at any of our service centers.
- You can pay at our NEC headquarters payment kiosk
- You can pay by mail
The member and/or third party designated by the member shall be notified in writing, sent by certificate of mailing, of the proposed disconnection of service. The written notice will indicate the amount that must be paid by a specific date in order to avoid disconnection.
If you are having troubles paying your bill by the due date, just give us a call 361-387-2581 or 1-800-NEC-WATT (1-800-632-9288) or contact us and one of our representatives will work with you on an acceptable arrangement

If a member has made payment arrangements to avoid disconnection and has failed to make those payments, service will be disconnected without further notice.
