The Nueces Electric Cooperative Retail Electric Choice began on August 16, 2004. Today, NEC's entire service area is open to retail electric competition.

Please understand that regardless of who you choose as your provider, NEC will continue to meet your electricity delivery needs. We'll continue to handle the maintenance and service on the power lines and meters, we'll respond to outage calls, help with new service, and we will bill you for your electric delivery services.
