The Calallen Education Foundation recently received a grant from Nueces Electric Charities. In light of this, we were honored to receive a tour of Magee Intermediate to see firsthand how the most recent funds from us and our members have been utilized. The visit was an enlightening experience that highlighted the profound impact of these grants on the school’s educational environment.

The administration and staff were eager to show us the advancements and improvements made possible by the donations of our members through Operation Round Up, where members can choose to round up their electric bills to the nearest dollar, contributing no more than $0.99 per account each month.

One of the most impressive aspects of the tour was seeing the array of state-of-the-art equipment that has been integrated into the classrooms, thanks to the grant.

As we walked through the halls and visited different classrooms, the dedication of the teachers was evident. They spoke passionately about their work and demonstrated the innovative methods they use to engage students. The enthusiasm and commitment of these educators to providing the best possible education for their students were truly inspiring. It was clear that they are not only focused on academic achievement but also on fostering a supportive and stimulating environment where students can thrive.

The teachers at Magee Intermediate are deeply invested in their students’ success and well-being. Nueces Electric Cooperative believes in supporting educational initiatives.
