In a demonstration of community solidarity, Nueces Electric Charities presented a donation to the American Red Cross yesterday, April 17, 2024, to aid their humanitarian efforts. The presentation underscored the charity’s work in disaster relief, blood donation, and support for military families.

The Red Cross’s latest initiative aims to enhance the infrastructure for distributing emergency supplies more effectively nationwide. NEC Co-op Energy is happy to support these crucial initiatives. This funding will help prepare for better emergency and delivery aid when disasters occur.

Funding for this donation was made possible through NEC’s Operation Round Up Program, where members can choose to round up their electric bills to the nearest dollar, contributing no more than $0.99 per account each month.
