Journeyman Lineworker, John G., and Human Resources and Corporate Communications Representative, Celeste T., attended Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend's YOU Choose Career Expo. Students grade levels 6-12, from various schools like George West, Aransas Pass, Benavides, and others attended this event to learn about various careers. 

NEC attended this career expo to share information about the vast careers we offer in areas such as electrical line work, information technology, engineering, accounting, communications, and more! These NEC representatives also spoke with counselors and academic advisors about the opportunities that await these young adults. In addition to hearing about our co-op, these students were able to learn some energy efficiency and safety tips as well as trying on insulated rubber gloves. This career expo was one for the books and just one way your electric cooperative supports local youth and education with the promise for opportunities in the future.
