Nueces Electric Cooperative attended Wood River Elementary’s 5th Annual Career Day!

Pre-K to 2nd grade classes visited with us as NEC Apprentice's spoke about their career and training to be lineworkers. Students were able to try on some PPE and were amused as our Apprentices went up in the bucket. Our Safety and Loss Control Manager expressed to the students the importance of staying away from power lines with his safety demonstration. Attending career days and events like this allow us to share possible careers with young minds in hopes that they think, “When I grow up, I want to be a lineworker.” We thoroughly enjoyed sharing the day with these students and the thoughtful hosts at Wood River Elementary.
