Nueces Electric Cooperative recognized as a StormReady® Supporter by NWS and NOAA

June 30, 2017 – On Monday, Nueces Electric Cooperative (NEC) was officially recognized by the National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a StormReady® Supporter. NEC received this distinction for enhancing public safety through promoting the principles and guidelines of the StormReady® program in the Cooperative’s awareness and preparedness plans.

Outage update 5/29/17

12:06 p.m. Overnight storms caused approximately 1,300 members to lose power last night. At this point, we have restored the majority of the outages. However, we still have approximately 200 members without power. Our operations crews are out working on these remaining outages to ensure that every member has the power back on as quickly as possible. Thank you for your continued patience!

All other billing concerns are currently unable to be handled at that number. We will update this post as soon as our regular phone number is working again.
