NEC crews are working around the clock to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.


Your power reliability is a priority for Nueces Electric Cooperative but sometimes weather, wear and tear, animals, and other things can cause an interruption in your electricity services. If you experience a power interruption please follow the steps below to ensure your power is restored in the quickest most efficient manner possible.

  1. Check your breakers and see if your neighbors are also out of power.

Grid Operator Requests Energy Conservation for System Reliability

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has issued an energy conservation notice requesting all Texans to reduce energy consumption.

NEC Winter Storm Preparation

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has issued an Operating Condition Notice (OCN) for extreme cold weather expected in the ERCOT region Thursday, Feb. 11 through Monday, Feb. 15. During this time, temperatures are expected to be at or below freezing, and precipitation has not been ruled out.
